“Tappa” Whitmore TALKS ABOUT Jamaica’s Draw vs El Salvador and Antonio’s Performance

In a post-match interview bout the match played on Friday night, the Reggae Boyz head coach Theodore “Tappa” Whitmore was asked several questions about the match which ended in a 1-1 draw with El Salvador. With regards to the outcome, “Tappa” Whitmore outlined that he was “disappointed with not getting all three points” and it was bad that they conceded late in the game.
He then went on to explain that, “We have to keep going,” and declared that it’s not impossible to qualify, he is still optimistic and looking forward to the match on Tuesday vs the USA. Tappa was asked about not losing in Central America, however, he was quick to point out that, not getting all three points felt like a loss and he’s still “disappointed.”
Whitmore was then asked about his point of view about the next game vs the US, “We have to assess tonight’s performance/game before we look on our players to make sure that everyone is ready…” he went on to outline that the USA game is “couple games from now” hence he’s focused on getting the group fit and ready currently.
About the late goal and Michail Antonio’s performs, Coach Whitmore, stated that, “I think what lead to the equalizer, I think we did not press the ball we did not stop the crosses.. that lead to us conceding,” and with regards to Michail, he stated that, “He did what we know he’s capable of doing.”
