Taxi Man Charged For The Murder Of Man Killed Over Motorcycle Purchase
A Taxi man has been charged with the murder of a man three months after he purchased a motorcycle in Tivoli Gardens, Kingston where he was killed.
The now-deceased man has been identified as Ricardo Blackwood also known as ‘Andrew’ who hailed from the community of Rashford Avenue in Kingston 3. Blackwood’s body was found sometime in January, “dumped” away on the Dyke Road area in Portmore, St. Catherine.
As for the Taxi man that was found guilty of the murder, he was identified as 30-year-old Johnoy Black, from the community of Todd Lane in Kingston and in consequence of his accusations he was also charged with illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition as well as robbery with aggravation.
Based on the reports coming from the Portmore Police, it is understood that on the 4th of January around 4 pm when Blackwood went to do the transaction to get the motorcycle he was robbed by Black and accompanying men who were said to have taken him away in a car, which the lawmen reported to have led to him being shot and dumped on Dyke Road Portmore.
Black was reportedly taken into custody on the 6th of April and later picked out in an identification parade on the 21st of April which caused the Police to proceed with charging him for the three offences on April 22. The court date for Black is currently in the process of being set.
