Teejay Says He Was About To ‘Punch’ Byron Messia During Confrontation, Calls Out Popcaan, Valiant, Dj Mac and More – Watch Interview

Teejay’s latest interview is taking the dancehall space by storm after the Mobay deejay made several telling comments during the one-hour-plus sit-down that he also used to highlight the success of his hit song ‘Drift‘ and future plans.

During the lengthy interview, which Teejay also called his ‘Kat Williams Interview’, he called out the artistes and the producer within the dancehall industry whom he has issues with including, Popcaan whom he called “such man”, DJ Mac, Byron Messia, Valiant and others.

According to Teejay who was interviewed by Jaii Frais of ‘LET’S BE HONEST’ podcast, the feud between himself and Byron Messia is real and Byron was the one who started it.

He also recalled a confrontation the two had in the USA that almost got physical. Teejay stated that Messia stepped to him at an event with a serious face, Teejay who is also called Chippy states that he was about to punch the fellow Caribbean artiste in his face, however, was taken away from the action by Byron’s manager who begged for him.

With regards to Valiant, Teejay points out that the ‘St. Mary’ artiste threw shade at him in a recent song as he bigs up DJ Mac who Teejay called a ‘liar’.

As for Popcaan, Teejay agrees with many onliners who call the St. Thomas Native a dancehall “groupie” who hangs out with most of the famous persons who visit the island. He went on to give details about Popcaan’s shortcomings. Notably, Popcaan’s sister Unruly Squid replied to the interview, stating that Teejay is calling her brother’s name for clout to promote his upcoming E.P.

Timoy Jones who is more commonly known as Teejay did not only talk about the negative happenings in his dancehall world, he also talked about the success of ‘Drift’ song and buying a house plus a car out of its success.

Teejay also talked about his much anticipated EP that will be released on February 2 which will feature several dancehall artistes including his young son, Tommy Lee Sparta, Bayka, Malie Donn, Quada, Skillibeng etc.

Teejay also announced that he will be releasing his album summer 2024.
