The teenager who was rushed to Cornwall Regional Hospital after he was accidentally buried alive was pronounced dead. He was identified as Novel Robinson who was also called Robbie and he was working as a labourer on a construction site in Granville, St. James last Friday.

The Granville police reported that about 3:15 p.m., Robby was among a group doing construction work at the Estuary Housing Scheme in Granville with WIHCON Construction Company.

He was allegedly cleaning up a section of the site when the soil under his feet loosened and just collapsed beneath him.

That caused him to fall into the hole and was instantly covered up by a pile of rocks and dirt that fell on him.

The other workers on the construction site made an alarm and attempted to take him out of the hole. They were careful as they didn’t want to cause any further injury to him.

When they finally got him out, he was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Workers said they were still shaken up because of the entire incident after they found out that he was dead it was even harder for them to come to terms with what had happened, it was very shocking.

There was a worker who said that he heard of persons dying in strange ways and he did not believe he would live to see it happen.
