Teens Charged with Robbery in Kingston

The teens that were charged with robbery are 19-year-old Kneeko Taylor, a janitor of Lyndhurst Road, and Dwight Lester, who is also 19 years old, of Arnett Gardens, Kingston 5. They were arrested and charged with robbery with aggravation connected to two separate incidents on Friday, June 20.

The detectives assigned to the St Andrew Central Police Division Police reported, in the first incident, about 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, June 4 when a woman who was walking along Beechwood Avenue, Kingston 5 was allegedly attacked by Taylor who was armed with a knife, she was robbed of cash and other valuable items.

Taylor was subsequently arrested, after an investigation was launched and he was placed on an identification parade, where he was pointed out before he was then interviewed and formally charged.

It is alleged that in the second incident Lester targeted a woman, about 12:50 p.m., on Friday, June 5.

The woman was allegedly exiting a motor vehicle on Crescent Road, in Kingston 5 when she was attacked and robbed of cash and other items as well.

The matter was reported to the police and an investigation was done, and Lester was arrested and charged.

The court dates for the teens will be announced at a later date
