“He is behind bars and he will live out his life behind bars for killing those five,” said the Sheriff in charge of a team of officers involved in the joint operation that searched and found the suspect hiding under some laundry in a closet on Tuesday.
Francisco Oropeza, age 38 is accused of murdering five of his neighbours in San Jacinto County, Texas, last Friday. The deadly shooting occurred after Oropeza’s neighbours asked him to stop shooting his high-powered gun at his home so that someone could sleep.
Oropeza was on the run for four(4) days.
During the press conference hours ago, after his capture, the Sheriff also outlined that they got a tip on the suspect’s location. The tip was presented via the FBI’s tipline.
Francisco Oropeza is charged with five(5) counts of murder and his bond is five(5) million dollars.
Investigations are ongoing.
