Young Dancehall artistes Skeng and RajahWild have topped Jamaica’s hottest trending songs with their latest releases, generating rapidly growing views on YouTube.
Break-out artiste Valiant and Dancehall top gun Vybz Kartel kick off the list of the top five trending songs in the country with their joint single Stay Clean taking the #5 slot. Stay Clean premiered on May 5 and has garnered over 800,000 views and 42,000 likes on YouTube.
The single follows their first collaboration Time Heals, which was released in March. Vybz Kartel and Valiant are currently ranked 4th and 2nd, respectively, on the YouTube Music Charts Top Artistes list for Jamaica.
Claiming the #4 spot is teen Trap Dancehall artiste Najeeriii with his May 6 release Goon. The Godfloww-produced single has acquired over 332,000 views with a total of 16,000 likes. The young artiste began pursuing music during the Covid-19 pandemic, developing his first song on a beat he discovered on YouTube.
Despite a 2022 car accident and a minor surgery for an undisclosed condition last month, Ocho Rios-based artiste Tevin Randall, professionally known as Kraff, has kept a steady flow of new releases.
His latest single, Audi, was released on May 9 and takes the #3 spot with more than 514,000 views and 25,000 likes. Kraff is ranked 3rd on the YouTube Music Charts Top Artistes list.
The self-proclaimed “Best of the Era” Skeng holds the #2 spot on the list with his second single with Jigsta, Smood Wid It. Unlike his usual gangsta lifestyle-themed tracks, Smood Wid It sees Skeng and his collaborator debuting a new dance move.
The song has garnered 1.5 million views since its release on April 30 and over 57,000 likes. Skeng holds a ranking of 7th on the Top Artistes list.

Topping the list of the hottest trending songs in Jamaica is Spanish Town native RajahWild, with his recently released Hate Yo claiming #1. The track was produced by Unapologetic Muziq and Neva Sarry Entertainment.
Since its premiere on May 5, it has acquired over 529,000 views and 23,000 likes. RajahWild’s previous release El Fuego sits just outside the top five trending singles with the #6 slot. The deejay is ranked 10th on the Top Artistes list.
