The Worst Own Goal in History?… Haiti vs Canada – Video

Haiti and Canada played each other in a Concacaf World Cup Qualifying match on June 15th and what the Haitian goalkeeper did in the match might go down as the worst own goal in footballing history. The goalkeeper, Josue Duverger who is just 21 years old was arguably Haiti’s best player on the field up until the shocking own goal.

As seen in the video, it was a simple back pass from his teammate, however, the Canadian based keeper misjudged the movement of the ball twice which caused him to miskick the ball twice, resulting in the ball rolling slowly into the back of the net.

“What a mistake, can you believe that happened, ohh my word”, screamed the commentator.
