Yankee Spanky who’s real name is Healthcliffe Black was born April 7, 1973, to Miss Cynthia Brown. As a youth, he grew up in Duncans, Trelawny. Before Yankee Spanky venture on his path for music, his education began between 1979-1990 at Steven James Primary School and Cedric Titus Secondary School both in Trelawny.

The stepping stone for Yankee Spanky began when he used to sing popular songs in class at school and at home. His passion for music grew as he got older, he was always singing at home with his family and friends. In the year 2017 because of his love for music and God as his inspiration, he decided to write his own lyrics and pursue a musical career and he was told that with such a talent he could reach far in the musical industry.

The push led him to embark on his first journey to Legends Celebrity Records studio, where he recorded his first Gospel song titled “Jah Jah Guide”, he only did one gospel song.

Yankee Spanky’s first performance was at an event called Smokeez Bar and Grill and after that D-Rehab, Top Klass Sports Bar, etc where he got good feedback from the crowd. Look out for more upcoming songs like ATM, Whine and Guh Dung, Bubble Yuh and Ride It from the artiste.
