Tragic Crash Claims 2 Lives – Counselling Commenced

In St. James, Jamaica members of the family that was mainly affected by the crash that claimed the lives of 2 persons and left 19 hospitalized, 2 in critical condition and 17 are being treated, but their injuries are not life-threatening.

The deceased were identified as residents of St. James, 60-year-old Anthony Forbes of Providence and 33-year-old Oniel Henry of Lilliput.

Counselling has started for the family members of the 22 persons who were harmed in the accident. Members of the Community Safety and Security Branch (CSSB) and the police’s Chaplaincy Unit were deployed are the ones who are conducting those special services.

Investigators from the Coral Gardens Police station reported that the driver of the Toyota Corolla motorcar was heading towards Montego Bay when he lost control of his car and went over to the side of the road where the Nissan Caravan vehicle was, it was heading in the opposite direction. A third vehicle that was behind the Nissan Caravan vehicle was also involved in the accident when it ran into the rear of the Nissan Caravan.

The police were called, and all the injured persons were taken to the hospital where Henry and Forbes were pronounced dead, they were driving the Nissan Caravan and the Toyota Corolla.
