Two Brothers Charged For Murder OF Chinese Couple In St. Elizabeth

Two brothers have been charged for the December 23, 2021 murder of a Chinese couple, 53-year-old Shiyun Shu and 48-year-old Haikong Wan at their business place called Jojo’s Supermarket in Southfield, St. Elizabeth.

The accused are 21-year-old Nigel “Troy” Walters and 24-year-old Nicholas Walters.

Detectives from the Area 3 Major Investigation Division declared that the early capture of the gunmen in these murders was possible due to the closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage retrieved from the business place. The video showed three suspects in the video, however, one is yet to be captured.

Additionally, the brothers have also been charged with the double murder of 45-year-old Sophia Brown, a business owner and 58-year-old Bernie Lewis, a farmer and domestic helper in the community of Whitehouse, Westmoreland on January 12, 2022. The women were shot and killed at the business place operated by one of the deceased.

Along with the charges of the murder, both brothers will also face prosecution for the illegal possession of firearms and robbery with aggravation.

Earlier this week, it was reported that one of the brothers confessed to murdering the Chinese couple.

The brothers are scheduled to appear in court sometime next week to face prosecution for their crimes committed.
