US Tourist Discovered Dead at Hotel in St. James
According to police reports, a 24-year-old woman from the United States of America was found dead in her hotel room at the Montego Bay Club Resort.
The deceased has been identified as Quintaria Roker of West Palm Beach, Florida.
St. James law enforcement officials are looking into the events leading up to her death, however, as of now, there seems to be no suspicion of violence.
Reports state that Roker landed on the island on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, to meet with a male companion whom she had ties to through social media. It was stated that Roker and her friend partied the night away into Wednesday morning after which she booked a room to stay.
Her friend, who was not named, mentioned that when it was around 10 AM, he had not heard from her so he went to the room to check if she was okay but sent out an alert when he noted that she was unresponsive. Roker was taken to the hospital where she was declared dead.
The investigation is still ongoing.
