US$70,000.00 Worth of Cocaine Seized by Police in Manchester, 2 Jamaicans Arrested

In Mandeville, Manchester, two Jamaicans were arrested after the police found 2.3 kilograms of cocaine in the vehicle they were travelling in on Sunday.
The Jamaica Constabulary Force reported that the discovery was made by the police while searching the vehicle around 7:00 p.m.

The cocaine was found under the driver’s seat, leading to the arrest of the two occupants of the vehicle.
The cocaine, which has an estimated street value of US$70,000, and the vehicle were seized.
According to the JCF, detectives from the Narcotics Division have launched an investigation, and the “suspects were placed on reasonable suspicion for breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act.”
The Suspects’ identity was not released to the public.
