The woman, who is among the three deceased, made off with the deputy’s vehicle after the deputy responded to a call about someone attempting to steal keys.
The report detailed the accounts of the county sheriff, explaining that the deputy met the female suspect when he arrived at the scene. The suspect was identified as Kendra Boone, a woman with a lengthy criminal record.
After the deputy exited the vehicle to speak to Kendra, she reportedly climbed through the passenger window and slid into the driver’s seat.
The entire incident, from the moment the deputy arrived at the scene to the theft of his vehicle, was captured on the deputy’s body camera. In the footage, despite the deputy struggling to open the driver’s door and repeatedly telling Kendra to “stop,” the woman still drives off.
According to a report from Inside Edition, investigators said that the woman crashed into a vehicle, resulting in her death and the deaths of two people from South Carolina.
Another individual injured in the crash was hospitalised, and the person’s current condition remains unknown.
