Usain Bolt Says “Winners shouldn’t allow losers to rewrite history” Ahead of the Olympics

Usain Bolt has been vocal leading up to the Paris Olympics, having recently pointed out that he would love to be in this era to race against iconic American sprinter Noah Lyles. Lyles, who is the reigning 100m and 200m world champion has accepted being labelled the fastest man in the world, something many Jamaicans are not happy with.

Usain Bolt is not only a Jamaican but he is also the record holder for the fastest time clocked hence he has more than one reason to take Lyles’s claims personally. Nevertheless, in a recent interview, Bolt outlined that going up against Lyles would be “fun” for him and not personal.

On Sunday, Bolt made multiple posts online, in one of the posts he stated, “Someone once said Winners shouldn’t allow losers to rewrite history.” His second post on the day had the caption, “Sometimes the only success people taste is from taking a bite out of you.”

While Usain Bolt did not call any name in his posts, most people online believe his comments are directed at Noah Lyles. See some of the reactions to Bolt’s bold statements below:

Just days ago the American sprinter clocked a new personal best (PB) 9.81 seconds, claiming victory in the 100m at the London Diamond League. This impressive time going into the 2024 Olympic Games can be seen as a direct message to Jamaica’s Oblique Seville and Kishane Thompson.

Thompson, Lyles and Seville are the big three going into the Olympics with Thompson looking in better shape than the other two, having clocked 9.77s to win the 100m at Jamaica Trials in Kingston in June which is a world-leading time for this season.
