Usain Bolt Undergoes “Successful” Surgery

Former sprinter Usain Bolt gave an update on Monday about his current state after suffering a ruptured Achilles tendon in his right foot.
Bolt was injured on June 9 in London at Soccer Aid, a charity football match. Following the match, Bolt shared on social media that he ruptured his Achilles and posted a photo showing him wearing an Aircast Airselect Standard walking boot.
As the caption for the post, he wrote, “Raptured Achilles but done know we a warrior 💪🏿.”
On June 17, he informed the public via an Instagram post that he had undergone surgery. The post features a photo of Bolt, who appears to be in good spirits, wearing a cast as he sits on a hospital bed with forearm crutches.
Additionally, the caption of the post reads, “Surgery was successful 👊🏿💪🏿🙏🏿.”
The post garnered over 59,000 likes within two hours, and many supporters flooded the comments with well wishes.
One IG user wrote, “🙏🏾speedy recovery bro.”
