Mail Online recently had an interview with 8 time Olympic Gold medalist Usain Bolt, and he had much to say where it concerns his future of getting more children. According to the legendary former Jamaican athlete, being a father gets him in a position where his hands are always full hence leaving him out of shape and as such he says he had made a vow to himself to begin a new training program next year.
These thoughts as expressed by Usain Bolt led him to decide not to take on any more children for now. He even went on to describe how hard it is to work with twins, explaining to Mail Online that he is eager to see them grow up as that is when things get better.
His exact words were, “That’s me, I’m finished – I don’t want any more now. Being a dad keeps me busy, but I wouldn’t say fit. It keeps me busy and my hands are always full. Having twins is not as fun as people say! I think when they get older but when they’re young, not so much. I’m looking forward to seeing them grow up.”
Despite the challenges, Usain Bolt detailed that he still finds time to party and his parents take care of the kids at times, however, Bolt outlined that he doesn’t party as much as when he was younger and he mostly party when he travels. In the interview, he also stated that the older the kids get they will spend more time with their grandparents but he has to be around as much as he can now.
Bolt also made mention that he thought about going into acting but quickly decided that it wasn’t for him and he is more interested in doing music.
Usain Bolt shares 3 children with businesswoman Kasi Bennett, with Olympia Lightning Bolt being the first, Thunder and Saint Leo Bolt as the twins that came after.
Currently, the former track legend is 4 years into his retirement and in that time he has branched out in the field of music as well as expanded his business operations so he has certainly been doing a lot. One thing for sure is when Usain says he is going to do something he does it for real.
