Veteran Reggae Dancehall Artiste Yami Bolo Headlines Fundraising Event in Toronto, Canada

Veteran artist Yami Bolo will be headlining the Roots 96.1 FM fundraising event in Toronto, Canada on April 21, 2018.

Beautiful Bold Women’s Outreach Performance INC. From Toronto, Canada In collaboration with Jamrock Records and other community based entities are working together to present this event and mainly to donate the proceeds from the event to Roots 96.1 FM in Jamaica to help with the costs of purchasing the equipment to continue to manage the technical functions of the station so that they can continue to be an open door free of charge to artists who need exposure especially our Canadian reggae artists who have benefited from the generosity of Roots 96.1 FM.

The station is all about community and inclusion not only on the island of Jamaica how ever Roots 96.1 FM extends its dedication to being a pillar that perpetuates inclusion in the community by being a platform to artists to be heard and gain further exposure.

On April 21, 2018 at the Sankofa Bar & Restaurant is where the fund raising event will take place the line up includes the reggae dance hall legend Yami Bolo who will be headlining the event, Juno Award winning Korexion, Empress Divine one of Toronto’s diva’s, J-Rich from Toronto, Ras Bingi, Toronto’s God Father of reggae Jimmy Reid, and, Uncle Johnny.

The hosts for the night will be Singing P of Nighthawk International Sound and also from CKUT 90.3 FM in Montreal, and Toronto’s hits breaking Dj Wizology from Vibe 105 FM.

From Roots 96.1 FM will be Bailey Bwoy coming all the way from Jamaica to select for the night along side Marvin Chin, and, God Bless Sounds.




The $15 door cover will be donated to Roots 96.1 FM to keep the station up and running to continue to be a voice for the voiceless.
