Video Showing 8-Vehicle Collision On Constant Spring Road
There was an eight-vehicle collision in the vicinity of Dunrobin Avenue in Constant Spring, St. Andrew on Tuesday morning.
Video footage has emerged showing the possible reason behind the multi-vehicle accident, in which a white Toyota coaster bus appears to fail to apply brakes. Based on the footage, a black Volkswagen (VW) Amarok came to a stop in the right-hand lane of a two-lane roadway behind a silver motor car.
Soon after, the white Toyota coaster bus collides in the rear-end of the VW, sending it to plunge into the back of the vehicle in front. As a result, a ripple effect occurred from the impact, causing other vehicles to crash into each other.
Head of the Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch, PSTEB, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Gary McKenzie of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) confirmed that no injuries were reported.
