On the heels of the announcement that the fastest woman alive, Elaine Thompson-Herah, will be trained by Elite Track Club coach Reynaldo Walcott, who is also the coach of Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, popular TV and radio host Oral Tracey, predicts that “war ago bruk” in the camp between Thompson-Herah and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce given their history.
In his latest video, the ‘Maverick’ started by clarifying the arrangement between Thompson-Herah and coach Walcott based on his sources. According to the sports personality, Thompson-Herah will be trained at an undisclosed location and not physically in the same space as Fraser-Pryce.
Tracey continued, by listing a few reasons why he thinks the arrangement will be unworkable for both female ace sprinters. “Because effectively what this arrangement will put up is Reynaldo Walcott will be coaching Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce to beat Elaine Thompson inna the morning and inna the evening him go coach Elaine Thompson-Herah fi go beat Fraser Pryce,” Tracey outlined as one of the main reasons.
He also lists the financial pull of Thompson-Herah as another main reason why he thinks the arrangement will be problematic, as he asked if Thompson-Herah will get more of the coach’s attention based on the money she will be offering.
“How the coach ago lend him focus to both a them superstar athlete yah, him ago have a chart weh him work out the time spent and expertise weh him use and help them pon a even scale or will it be proportionate to the amount a money weh him a earn from the respective athlete, so if Elaine coaching fee bigger him ago spend more time with Elaine and offer more technical advise to Elaine?” Tracey asked.
