We need more Shows like “Shaggy and Friends”

[Sharingbuttons]Shaggy and Friends continue to be an event that is well produced and properly staged. The local artistes performed well; after Shaggy kicked off the event with some of his hits. Sting performed well, as he sang some his favorite songs and Wycliff Jean from Haiti was well accepted as well.

The former member of ‘The Fugees’ , the hip hop super group that featured Lauryn Hill and Pras Michel excited the patrons with an eclectic mix of music, which even included cuts from Vybz Kartel.
Local entertainers performed well, Chris Martin, Professor Nuts, Wayne Wonder, Junior Reid, Aidonia, Third World, Chaka Demus and Pliers, Dexta Daps, Barrington Levy, Ding Dong and Ravers Clavers squad, the new female performer Shenseea and others.

From Trinidad the soca couple Bunji Garlin and his wife Fay-Ann Lyons excited the crowd; they jumped and waved to the rhythm as they enjoyed themselves.

Shaggy and his team have been doing a great job at the Bustamante Hospital for Children in St. Andrew, providing well needed equipment that is being used to save the life of many children. So it is good that they have been getting the support of entertainers from many places and from Jamaicans as well. Patrons were very satisfied with the performances as they look forward to being on the lawns of Jamaica House again next year. When Shaggy and his team puts on another great fund raising event for the children’s hospital which is the country’s only Paediatric facility
