The Jamaican wonder kid Dujuan ‘Whisper’ Richards shows that he has been busy at Newcastle on his trial by uploading two photos and a video clip showcasing some skills. Below the post, the young striker captioned it with a Jamaican flag.
‘Whisper’ can be seen sporting a Newcastle training kit, in which he is showing off some silky skills while taking part in training with other members of the Newcastle Under-21 academy team.
‘Whisper’ Richards is looking to impress the scouts at the English-based club in order to sign a contract with the club that is one of the top in the English Premier League at this very moment and currently holds the number four spot.
The two-week trial for the 17-year-old started on February 6th, according to reports in the English blogosphere. Ben Dawson, who was recently appointed to the role of manager of the under-21 team, is expected to train Richards with a highly competitive squad of under-21 players.
“The 17-year-old comes from the same Phoenix Academy as Aston Villa star Leon Bailey and could become the latest teenage sensation to sign, should he impress,” wrote the NUFCblog.co.uk.
In the 2022 season of Jamaica’s schoolboy football, the Kingston College standout, who is a member of the Phoenix Academy, scored 29 goals in the Manning Cup campaign to earn him the title of most valuable player in the competition.
