She was listed as the intended recipient of the cache of firearms which was intercepted at the Miami International Airport.
The two barrels that were intercepted in the United States last month with 119 guns and more than 200 rounds of ammunition destined for Jamaica, were re-packaged with other goods and allowed to continue to Montego Bay.
It was revealed that the barrels had been under the watchful eyes of American law enforcement agents and personnel from Jamaica’s Counter Terrorism and Organized Crime CTOC division since they arrived in Montego Bay last month.
However, it is reported that no one came forward to collect them.
The woman who is reportedly from Falmouth, Trelawny turned herself in to police at CTOC yesterday (Mon) and was interviewed. She remains in police custody.
