Young Pastor Murdered in Church

29-year-old Pastor James Johnson went to the Church of God of Prophesy on Old Harbour Road in Spanish Town, St. Catherine; but at approximately 5 pm that Thursday. He parked his car and entered the church where he would normally teach a class.

However, he was followed by a Gunman who shot him several times, in his back, before he escaped. Seven spent shells were found on the scene and the other Pastors and church members are devastated.

Persons were not expecting this to happen in the area, as the presence of the police was increased, because of a State of Emergency that was imposed by the Government.

The Major Investigation Division is doing investigations and persons are hoping that the criminal will be brought to justice.
