A Clarendon community is currently in outrage after a 12-year-old, six grade student now preparing for her Primary Exit Profile (PEP) exams, was abducted and raped on Friday.
As reported by the Jamaica Gleaner, the minor was on her way home with her brother when they were offered a ride home by a man driving a vehicle, they took up the offer, however, when they reached the destination, the boy was ordered out of the car, the driver then drove off with the young girl.
The minor was released in a nearby community on Friday night by the suspect who is yet to be revealed.
The child was taken to a hospital for treatment after she was released.
The minor is said to have been raped during the abduction.
“It’s sad, but God is good. The last thing we wanted to hear was that they found her dead. I just hope she will be able to take her upcoming PEP exams,” a relative told a Gleaner reporter.
The Clarendon Police was contacted about the incident, they have confirmed the incident, however, stated that full details were not available at the time of contact
