75YO Teacher Gets 10 Years For Sexually Assaulting 14YO Male Student

Reports state that a 14-year-old boy from a private Baptist school (Tomah Baptist Academy) in the United States was recurrently abused in the basement of the school by his 75-year-old female teacher from the period of 2016 through 2017.

According to the Tomah Police Department, in April 2022, Anne Nelson-Koch was accused of repeatedly forcing the 14-year-old to participate in sexual acts during school hours while she still had tenure at the school.

Nelson-Koch was found guilty of exposing intimate parts, child enticement, 25 counts of sexual assault of a child, intimidation of the victim, and exposing genitals in August of this year.

The teacher was sentenced to 10 years in prison on Friday, October 27, 2023 by Monroe County Circuit Court Judge Richard Radcliffe. However, according to a report by PEOPLE, the accused was at first sentenced to a total of 624 years in prison.

When the new sentence was relayed by the judge, he stated that some of Nelson-Koch’s characteristics of being “selfless” and “giving” were taken as a mitigating factor in the decision despite that the impact of her actions on the victim and his family being an aggravating factor.

Nelson-Koch is expected to be observed for a duration of 15 years by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections when she is released from her 10-year sentence.
