Dad who reportedly raped 13-year-old daughter died of poisoning

A thirteen year-old girl is currently undergoing counseling after allegations that she was raped by a 54-year-old man who is said to be her father.

The Westmoreland man has since been charged with rape, however, in a effort to not waste the time of our justice system he reportedly ingested poison just days after news of the case began to circulate, police sources indicated.

The man who subsequently died, was posthumously charged with the sexual offence.

Reports are that in late April of this year, the teenager went to her father’s home to spend some time, and the incident allegedly occurred.

The matter was reported to the authority but before investigators could apprehend the suspect, he was admitted to a hospital, where he later died after drinking a poisonous substance.
