The deceased man is Jemal Jones, he was a 28-year-old Jamaican tradesman who lived in St James in Trinidad and Tobago.
His mother, Charmaine Grant said she migrated to Trinidad with her son 13-years ago. She now says crime is everywhere. Her son was at home when he spoke to the man who was shooting the gun in the air. He spoke to him and the man fired the gun at him instead.
When Jemal was rushed to the hospital he died while they were performing an emergency surgery on him, trying to save his life.
