Bling Dawg’s Interview Onstage – Release Of Album “Elevate”
Ricky Rudy aka Bling Dawg was featured on an interview Onstage with Winford Williams, where he spoke of his newly released Reggae Album and documentary titled “Elevate”.
The album features some of Dancehall’s hottest artistes such as Bounty Killer, Popcaan, Busy Signal, Christopher Martin, Romain Virgo and Tanya Stephens. Renowned producer, Junior Gong also produced two tracks on the album.
The previous hardcore Alliance deejay expressed delight in finally releasing a Reggae Album. He stated how this has always been a dream of his and being able to bring this dream to reality is surreal.
Bling Dawg also spoke of the transition from dancehall to reggae music in which he stated that he appreciates his past as a deejay but he has grown tremendously as an artiste and is now venturing into Roots One-Drop Reggae.
The transitioned, new and upcoming One-Drop Reggae artiste advised his fans that he has not stopped doing Dancehall music, however, the content and lyrics to his music has changed drastically. He stated that he will no longer sing songs with raunchy lyrics nor glorify the use of guns and violence.
Since the release of the album “Elevate”, Bling Dawg stated that the response from overseas and local fans have been overwhelmingly positive.
He further stated that he is expanding his musical capabilities as he is now learning to play the guitar. He then offered a few wise words of encouragement to those individuals considering to venture into the music industry.

“Learn to play an instrument as you will find yourself doing better production, singing better songs and finding better melody. Also, note that who you surround yourself with has a lot to do with your success,” he stated.
Bling Dawg’s album “Elevate” is now out and available on all music platforms.
