In 2017, Alkaline premiered the first New Rules Vendetta Festival at the National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica. The show had featured live performances from some of Dancehall’s biggest artistes such as Shaggy, Mavado, Tarrus Riley, I-Octane and Jahmiel.
However, a second staging of the event was scheduled for April 25, 2020 at the National Stadium, Kingston but had to be cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Artistes such as Gyptian, Aidonia, Elephant Man, Kranium, Intence and Iwaata were slated to perform.
Though the New Rules Vendetta Festival will not be held in Jamaica this year, it is anticipated that the event will be just as impactful as its first staging back in 2017.
