Man Jumps Overboard While On Cruise Ship

Coast guards are reportedly searching for a man who jumped overboard while on the Carnival Mardi Gras ship today, April 16 at approximately 7 a.m.
According to David Micallef, a Coast Guard spokesman, he informed that the man who was a guest on the ship, jumped overboard about 55 miles east of Port Canaveral, near Orlando, Florida. The ship was on its way returning home to its original departed destination.
A statement was released by the cruise line in which they updated that “The ship’s crew participated in search and rescue efforts until the ship was released by the U.S. Coast Guard, which continues the search. The Carnival Care Team is supporting the guest’s family. Mardi Gras arrived to Port Canaveral and will be sailing its next itinerary”.
There has been no confirmation to date if the U.S. Coast Guards have retrieved the body of the 43-year-old male guest on the cruise line.
