Anti-War Protesters Storm Building On Capitol Hill, Over 300 Arrested – Watch Video
As the deadly conflict between Israel and Gaza rages on in the Middle East anti-war protesters from the United States gather in unison in an effort to bring an end to the bloodshed.
In response, the Capitol Police arrested approximately 300 people during a large-scale demonstration against the bloody war that took place on Wednesday, a Capitol Police spokesman confirmed.
There have been reports that the U.S. Capitol Police have begun arresting protesters who refuse to comply with orders to disperse. Reports also say there were some 500 other protesters who blocked Independence Avenue outside the building as well.
According to a police spokesperson, some of the demonstrators, who were organized by a left-wing Jewish group, then entered the Cannon House Office Building through a number of security entrances and gathered in the rotunda. There were some lawmakers whose offices are located in the Cannon House Office Building who publicly criticized the demonstrators for their actions.
In a video that captured the protesters gathered in unison they are heard declaring, “The world is watching”. The demonstrators wore black T-shirts that had been emblazoned with the slogans,“Not in our name,” and “Jews say cease-fire now.”
