Gully Bop’s Funeral Date And Final Resting Place Revealed
After much speculation and rumours, the final rest spot as well as the burial date for dancehall artiste Gully Bop, has been announced. Via his sister Ann Marie Chamberlain, a January 14, 2024 funeral date was revealed earlier this week.
In the west rural St Andrew district of King Weston, where he was born, Gully Bop’s body will be laid to rest, more than one and a half months after he passed away in Kingston Public Hospital.
According to Chamberlain, the burial spot will be in King Weston, at the family plot, she continued, stating, “I guess he will be churching there too at the church where he used to attend when he was much younger”.
However, just like how Gully Bop’s musical career was filled with many controversies, his funeral proceedings plans have garnered a few as well.
In Chamberling’s own words via a video, she said, “Lot of things have been said, and still have been said, but I don’t give much attention to the naysayers. People will talk and let them talk, it is a balanced world.”
She continues, “We need them for motivation. You have to be strong to face the world. We can choose to answer and you can choose not. I chose not to because when you play chess you know when to move.”
