Asafa Powell Training “the next sub10 kings”
Asafa Powell, retired Olympic gold medallist, seems to have high hopes for his youngest sons, Amieke Powell and Azhaf Powell, to follow in his footsteps of blazing a trail on the tracks.
The two boys, four (Amieke) and two (Azhaf) were photographed alongside their father as they raced against him. Based on the joyous smile on his face during the track session, Asafa seemed to be enjoying the possibility of future track stars in the family.
He posted the picture of the training session with Amieke and Azhaf to his Instagram account with the caption, “He said “daddy it’s a false start” boys wanted to race”.
The picture was admired by many fans who thought Amieke was ready to take on opponents with his strong form. Lisa Hanna stated, “Look at form ❤️,” to which Asafa replied, “Working on the next sub10 kings 😂.”
Kuliegirl said, “Amieke is ready to be a track star!! 🌟 look at his stance 💙💙,” while millernaire_92 wrote, “It’s the youngest “sub king” finishing the race before it starts. Hands up 🤣🤣🤣.”
