Dancehall veteran Beenie Man‘s son, Moses Davis, is following in his father’s footsteps as a recording artiste, but he aspires to shine in various genres, such as hip-hop. Instead, he developed an interest in Hip-Hop while he was in high school and started creating beats. “I did that for, like, call it four years, until I decided to take a break and say, you know, let me just actually try like songwriting and everything… Everything started picking up after that,” he told Winford Williams during an Onstage interview.

Moses stated that music has always been his passion, however, he started seriously pursuing a musical career around the age of 20. Despite taking on a different genre than his father, Moses expressed that he was greatly impacted by his father and the legacy he created.

Additionally, he acknowledged that he feels a bit pressured to reach the level his father has reached, but he will be doing his own thing to the best of his abilities.

Moses is currently working on his debut album, which is described as a multi-genre album. Moses noted that his project features Afrobeats, Hip-Hop, and Trap songs. Additionally, he disclosed that his upcoming songs include a collaboration with Rytikal, a collab with Silk Boss, and songs with his father.

Among his released songs, Moses has a song dedicated to his deceased mother titled Constant Pain. The song mentions him mourning his mother, his struggle with sickle cell, and his dependence on alcohol and marijuana to cope.

Constant Pain, which features some grimy lyrics, also mentions that Moses avoids fake people and bonds with his siblings as he navigates life with the pieces of advice his mother left behind guiding him.

Notably, Moses was born with sickle cell disease, and he noted that the hospital was like his second home and his mother was always by his side. According to Moses, his mother died suddenly from stomach issues, but he noted that he does not have all the information about her passing.
