UK Dancehall female artiste Stefflon Don whose birth name is Stephanie Victoria Allen recently released her first album titled ‘Island 54‘, and in a newly released interview she talked about her roots in music, family, living in the UK, Africa, Jamaica, Burna Boy, Jada Kingdom amongst other things.
The interview was done with GRM Daily, in which the outspoken female artiste talked about living in Holland at one point in her life, hence she can speak three dialects/languages. However, according to Stefflon Don, she only delivers patois(patwa) lyrics in her music and she does not talk like a Jamaica in “real life”.
She also pointed out that many of her supporters did not understand the clash songs she released for Jada Kingdon back in January. Five months ago, she released, ‘Dat A Dat’, ‘Intergalactic’ and ‘#DedGyalWalking’ all aimed at the St. Thomas native Jamaican artiste who also released multiple songs aimed at the London deejay.
According to Steff, Jada initially wanted a collaboration with the two, however, she took long to do her part and Jada seemingly grew impatient, “i just took long because sometimes am just all over the place,” she also revealed that Jada messaged her prior to the clash about linking up in the UK, however, she later deleted the text message.
Steff pointed out that Jada had her number and could have contacted her directly, after overhearing a song she thought was aimed at her, “we use to be cool” says Stefflon London who went on to state that the fact that Jada had a fling with her ex was never an issue.
“She’s selling he’s buying what’s the problem?… There is nothing to rekindle…” Stefflon Don also expressed during the interview which was done in her Rolls-Royce Cullinan that she recently got as a gift. Further on, she wished Jada Kingdom the best in her career, “i feel like she’s a dope artiste, it’s really not that deep”.
With that said Steff was quick to point out that she strongly doubted that she and Jada would be cool again after the disrespectful clash.
