Buju Banton Tells the Youths “Cut the F**kry” With the Gun Thing

Saturday marked the return of The Gargamel in New York after a 15-year absence, “Mr 9 seh to mista 45, M16 and Magnum nah move too right,” sings Bujua at one point in his performance, as he sent a message to the youths with.
He talked about people he knows and places he ventured frequently while in New York, “big respect” he said as he called many names. “Man a nuh bwoy nuh more man a now big man now inna earth, i got older and a likkle bit wiser, a wah talk to the youth dem to stop the F**kry.”
Those words were followed by multiple songs that lash out against gun violence and gang violence. “Wi talk to the Youths dem and wi beg dem, stop the f**kry. A f**kry dem a gwaan wid affi call it what it is, chillax!”
He went on to sing, “Is a Smith & Wesson dem give to John Wayne.” According to Buju “dem change the system” hence the youths should walk on the straight and narrow.
Notably, this message comes on the heels of fellow Jamaican artiste Rygin King being arrested in New York on gun possession charges. Rygin King has since asked the media to report on more positive activities he has done in recent times. Rygin King pleads not guilty in court last week.

Buju Banton is scheduled to perform at the UBS Arena in Queens, New York again on Sunday, July 14.
Notably, Buju Banton continues to leave his popular controversial ‘Boom Bye Bye’ song out of his set. His performance on the 13th left many fans wanting more, never the less, his Jamaican performance on the ‘Long Walk To Freedom’ tour is dubbed as the best so far.
