The incident took place early Sunday morning after the hardcore Dancehall performed on the island over the weekend. According to St. Maarten Police Force (KPSM), the artiste along with his associates were leaving after his performance when shots rang out.
Law enforcers also disclosed that the artiste is in ‘critical condition’ and is being treated along with the others at a local hospital. The other victims of the shooting are said to be in ‘serious but stable condition’. Another rising Trinidadian artiste is also said to be one of the five victims.
The artiste’s Instagram page has not given an update on the matter.
Notably, Plumpy Boss is a member of the 7 gang that is currently feuding with the 6ix gang in Trinidad, a feud that has spilt over into other Caribbean countries with Jamaican artiste Skeng repping for the 7 gang, dissing fellow Jamaican artiste Squash in a recently leaked unreleased song.
In June, Skeng and Plumpy Boss released a grimy street track titled ‘Keep Up‘ in which Skeng stated, “Seven to the world presidential compound”.
