Following their win against Honduras, Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz are set to face off with the Central American nation once again in October.
The Reggae Boyz are fresh off of their first Group B win in the CONCACAF Nations League, beating Honduras on September 10 at the Nacional Chelato Uclés stadium in their capital city of Tegucigalpa. It was a much-needed win for the Boyz, who are currently under the management of new head coach Steve McClaren.
It was McClaren’s first win with the Jamaican squad following his appointment as coach in July on a two-year deal. His first outing with the Boyz ended with a 0-0 draw with Cuba in their previous Nations League match.
The Boyz’ performance in the Nation League will serve as McClaren’s first major test with the national men’s team. Following their match this week with Honduras in their capital city, the Boyz will meet the team once again on the field, this time in Jamaica’s capital, Kingston.
Their match is scheduled to unfold at the National Stadium and will take place on October 14. However, before Jamaica’s rematch with Honduras, they will face off with Nicaragua on October 10.
Jamaica is currently at the top of Group B in League A, while Nicaragua is second. Honduras dropped to third place in Group B after losing to Jamaica on Tuesday.
