A$AP Rocky Faces Charges After Alleged Shooting

A$AP Rocky, accused of firing multiple rounds in Hollywood at an ex-friend, is now facing charges of criminal assault.

George Gascón, a Los Angeles County District Attorney, publicized on Monday, August 15, 2022, that his office has charged the American rapper, birth name Rakim Athelaston Mayers, ‘with two counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm’.

It was reported by prosecutors that Rocky pointed his gun at the male individual while they were engaged in a vehement conversation during their time in Hollywood back in November of 2021. There was said to be a follow-up confrontation where Rocky fired two bullets in the same bearing as the alleged victim.

The rapper was also arrested back in April for another alleged shooting at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), there were cops on the compound waiting for him to exit the Private Jet that he was occupying with his girlfriend, Rihanna.

Other than the charges for assault, the No Limit rapper is also being sued for the assault and battery of A$AP Relli, a former A$AP Mob member (which Rocky was also a part of and where he adopted his moniker). Allegedly, Relli said that he is the victim involved in the shooting and was struck by bullet fragments and suffered other injuries.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) is still investigating the case.
