Bob Marley tops 2020 Reggae Album Sales

“Legend” remains at number one on the reggae charts for the 47th week in 2020 after the adjusted completion process. It also shows good numbers in the R&B and reggae categories.

The collection has three of Marley’s most popular songs; No Woman No Cry, Is This Love & Could You Be Loved. The 14 song collection has been repackaged and remastered many times since its initial release in 1984 selling over 33 million copies to become a top collector’s item.

New wave reggae gem Koffee cements the number 10 slot after winning the Grammy for best reggae album earlier this year.

Multi-platinum, grammy-winning artiste Sean Paul finishes at 9th with “Dirty Rock”. Meanwhile The Unruly Boss Popcaan finishes 8th with his Drake branded OVO Sound project “Fixtape”

At number seven is Gold by Bob Marley and the Wailers.

Sean Paul again making the list with the number six best selling reggae title of 2020.

We head outside of the Caribbean onto 5th place which is occupied by UB40 for songs like “The way you do things” and “Red Red Wine”.

Stick Figure holds both the number 3 and 4th place slot with “World on Fire” and “Set in Stone”.

Having sold 100,000 copies since its release in August of 2008, The Best of Shaggy: The Boombastic Collection secured 2nd place.

Skip Marley and HER brings a refreshing style and you can hear it n their collaboration “Slow Down” topped the billboard adult R&B songs chart Is a single back in May of this year, it ended the year in 10th place.

“Banana” a hit song done by Conkarah and Shaggy comes in at number 42 this year on the Hot Canadian Digital Songs Chart.
