A two-year-old missing boy, Taylen Mosley, from Florida, USA, was found dead on Friday after police spotted an alligator carrying the toddler’s remains. This comes a day after his mother was found stabbed to death.
According to reports, the family of the boy’s mother, identified as 20-year-old Pashun Jeffery, last saw them on Wednesday and asked an apartment manager to check on them when they could not reach Pashun on Thursday. Pashun was later found dead in her apartment and had been stabbed multiple times.
An Amber Alert was issued for Taylen, and a search was conducted by federal and state law enforcement agencies, which utilised dogs and a drone to help find the toddler. On Friday, detectives saw an alligator holding something in its mouth near Dell Holmes Park, almost ten miles from Pashun’s apartment.
A detective shot at the alligator, forcing it to drop what it was holding, and thus Taylen’s body was recovered intact. The cause of his death has not yet been determined by the medical examiner.

Reports state that the police’s main suspect, Taylen’s father, Thomas Mosley, checked himself into a hospital with cuts on his arms and hands and was still hospitalised on Friday. Mosley has requested a lawyer and did not speak to detectives. He has since been charged with two counts of first-degree murder.
