Following his recent declaration that Spice was the “baddest,” Bounty Killer returned to social media as a debate began to brew about whether the newly crowned Queen of Dancehall was indeed the best or if that title still belonged to Lady Saw.

On Tuesday, Spice shared an exchange between her and Bounty on Instagram after he had called her the “baddest woman bout ya.” The deejay continued to heap praise on Spice after she expressed her gratitude, writing, “Only a GOAT knows a GOAT. 25yrs of dominance, it’s over no other ain’t near or close.”

In response to an Instagram post on Yardhype about the exchange, one Instagram user, Roael Entertainment, said that Bounty’s statements about Spice were not true, as Lady Saw, now a gospel singer who goes by her birth name Marion Hall, had set the trend for Spice and other artistes.

A clearly peeved Bounty quickly responded. “@roaelent Shut up. Saw is the greatest Spice is the baddest🤐,” Bounty wrote. @roaelent replied to Bounty’s comments, showing him “respect” and pointing out that he “rate” the Killa.

However, in another comment Roael went on to state that numbers could not lie, adding that Spice had not produced an international hit single. “We’re not knocking Spice. We rate her, but she’s yet to find an international breakout hit song. She will some day doe,” Roael stated.

As the debate continued in the comment section, Roael tagged Foota Hype and asked the selector for his opinion. The controversial disc jockey, who has expressed his dislike of Spice’s industry choices in the past, agreed with Bounty but said that might change as Lady Saw was seemingly making a return to dancehall.
