The last released album by the entertainer is his “Upside Down” album released on June 26 of 2020 and was his first studio album in over ten years. That project was well-received because it perfectly captured the spirit of the singer, in terms of how he felt after being released from prison in the year 2018 after serving 7 years behind bars.

The “Upside Down” album released under Gargamel Music, Roc Nation and Island Records featured some sensational songs such as “Lamb of God”, “Steppa”, “Trust”, “Buried Alive” and more which saw him getting many highlights and respect for the message he had put out, especially in a time the world was battling with the pandemic.

In the announcement made by Buju about his upcoming body of work, the singer wrote in his last Instagram post “Hey Stay Stuned! New album ready my boss” indicating that it will not be long before the new music gets dropped while showing himself posing in the accompanying photo dressed in full black, showing that he is in the spirit of readiness.

In the world of music, Banton has gotten his fair share of achievements as he has gotten 7 Grammy nominations, even winning one in the year 2010 with “Before Dawn”.

In terms of albums, Buju is well known for his “Til Shiloh” body of work which was released in the year 1995 and spent 38 weeks on the Billboard chart that same year, peaking at number 27.

For his last project “Upside Down”, the “Gargamel” had a first-week total unit sale of 2995 and the album did well for him on the Reggae Billboard charts since it debuted in the number 2

Position.

In the comment section of the post, the entertainer saw a lot of flame emojis and people, especially his fellow celebrity friends such as Bounty Killer, Fat Joe, and others giving him nudges of encouragement to go ahead and drop the new album.
