Cardi B Presented With ‘Woman Of The Year’ Award By Breonna Taylor’s Mom

International female rapper, Cardi B has been given the Billboard award for Woman of the year at Thursday’s virtual staging of the ceremony.

The award was handed over to her by the mother of Breonna Taylor, who was fatally shot in a police raid earlier this year.

Cardi B was honoured due to the outspoken character she exercised about the tragic event, which helped trigger the Black Lives matter movement.

Tamika Palmer the mother of Breonna, stated that the “Bodak Yellow” artiste, had an impact that was beyond just music and she was honoured to be the presenter of the award.

In a short speech after getting the award, Cardi B stated that this year was difficult as she had a lot of plans for music and video releases, but was forced to forfeit most of them due to the pandemic.

She stated however that she was happy that she could have collaborated with Megan Thee Stallion, to create the massive record-breaking hit “Wap”, which even made a few Republicans upset.

Cardi B then encouraged females like herself to work hard on their dreams, continuing to be ambitious, network and be able to take criticisms in their plight to be great.

Other awardees were Jennifer Lopez, Dua Lipa, Dolly Parton and many more.
