Carjacker Smashes Multiple Vehicles While Trying To Escape – Watch Video

A female carjacker was arrested on Friday after crashing into multiple vehicles in California, USA, in an attempt to flee after robbing an elderly woman.

The chaotic incident was captured on video by an eyewitness who was on the scene at Ralphs shopping centre on Kanan Road in Agoura Hills, Los Angeles. According to reports, the woman, who is believed to be in her 20s, approached a 75-year-old shopper in the shopping centre’s parking lot and attempted to steal her purse.

When the shopper resisted, a struggle ensued, and the assailant pulled the victim from her car and threw her to the ground. She proceeded to jump in the victim’s car and attempted to make her escape with one of the car’s doors left open. But the thief was reportedly thwarted by a Club anti-theft device on the steering wheel, which made it difficult for her to manoeuvre the vehicle.

However, this did not prevent the young woman from trying to flee. In the video, the woman can be seen repeatedly smashing into multiple vehicles in the parking lot while onlookers shout at her to get out of the vehicle. She eventually gave up her attempt to escape with the car and tried to flee on foot but was subdued by bystanders.

The owner of the car was treated on the scene for minor injuries, and the carjacker was taken to a hospital to be medically cleared before she was booked into jail.
