Dexta Daps Celebrates 38th Birthday and Album Release

Commemorating his 38th birthday with the release of his third album, dancehall vocalist Dexta Daps is also marking the special occasion with launch parties in four different cities worldwide.

The renowned deejay, who captivated the hearts of women with songs like Call Me If, 7eleven, and No Underwear, has released his much-anticipated 16-track album, Trilogy.


The album’s tracklist showcases well-known dancehall talents like Masicka on a track titled Ok, Chronic Law on Friendship Sale, Rally Banks on Wuk Fi Mine, Jada Kingdom on Purge, and Alaine on See It Yah. The other songs on the Trilogy album are Showers of Blessings, Strength, Forever, Demon Time, I Will, Regret, Unfair Truth, Indicted (End-I-Did), In You, Butterfly, and Vanta Black.

Dexta Daps shared the tracklist with his 1.3 million followers on Instagram a week ago. During that time, the artiste revealed the inspiration that shaped the songs on the album, stating, “This project is a reflection of my journey & some of the different layers of my life.” Dexta Daps added that the album is crafted to have “something for everyone.”

Fans in the United States and the United Kingdom will have the opportunity to be part of this significant occasion at the launch parties that are set to follow closely on the heels of Friday’s official launch show in Kingston, Jamaica.

After spending his birthday at the album launch party in Kingston on January 12, Dexta Daps is scheduled to be in New York on January 14 for another album celebration part. Afterwards, he will continue the festivities in Miami, Florida, on January 17 and wrap up the launch with a final show in London in February. The specific date for the London event has not yet been disclosed.

Dexta Daps, born Louis Grandison, hails from Seaview Gardens, and he is predominantly adorned among the female audience with his sensual love-making tunes. Some of his other impressive songs that are well known include Breaking News, Shabba Madda Pot, Mi C Mi Bed N Miss U, and Owner.
