Foota Hype Says “If D’yani straight that mean seh Shebada straight”
Outspoken Dancehall selector Foota Hype has been reviewing the performances at Reggae Sumfest 2024. Amongst the many performances, he spoke about was that of Reggae Dancehall singer D’yani.
“D’yani upset mi,” he stated as he critiqued the young artiste’s appearance on the show and the time he worked, “him work the wrong time,” Foota Hype states. Foota Hype recalls seeing D’yani perform for the first time on the show with Konshens, according to Foota, D’yani is a good singer but he did not like his name because it’s a ‘girl name’.
Foota says D’yani’s latest performance has caused him to “reach one full stop… the other night Sumfest outfit mi reach one full stop!.. every year mi si D’yani pan Sumfest him outfit dem questionable…”
He continued, “Mi end up affi come off a di live stream cause mi couldn’t bare fi si the outfit nuh more… mi upset… If D’yani street, that mean seh Shebada straight!… if D’yani straight that mean P Diddy straight,” He went on to list multiple other names of men who are said to be gay.
Foota Hype next blamed the Downsound Records artiste for causing him to miss Luciano’s performance on the show because he stopped watching the stream after seeing the artiste’s outfit.
“The man have on a belly skin blouse jacket, with one fish net supp’n unda it a show belly… every year yuh thread the neegle likkle more and more… look how the man duh him hair, look how di man duh him locks.”
He next asked, “Weh you a try duh D’yani… weh yuh a try duh?”. “Do not do lean things and expect mi fi seh unuh straight… dah outfit deh bunup,” he outlined.
