Hours after Prime Minister Andrew Holness commented on an individual being a dual citizen and wanting to lead Jamaica, Mark Golding responded with more legal information surrounding his dual citizenship status which he states is “compliant with the Constitution and laws of Jamaica.”

In the response which is a directed statement to Holness, Golding states, “Neither he nor his Party has made those proposals as part of the process of constitutional reform. His proposals are therefore not in the report of the Constitutional Reform Committee, and will not be in the new Constitution coming out of that process.”

According to Golding, the leader of Jamaica is seemingly trying to make up a new rule and the JLP government has an unfortunate history of past violations of the Constitution of Jamaica. The lengthy statement was accompanied by an audio version of the statement.

On the other hand, Mr. Vegas continues to troll the opposition leader online. In response to Golding’s statement, Mr Vegas wrote, “Do you want FULL DECOLONIZATION?”
