Husband and Wife Killed in Suspected Murder-Suicide in Kingston: The Female Was a Digicel Admin

Authorities have identified the individuals who were a part of the devastating shooting incident along Windward Road in Kingston. The incident, as by preliminary reports is regarded as a murder-suicide.

The victims are Wesley Moysten, 41, from Smokey Vale, St Andrew, and Heather Moysten, 59, an administrator at Digicel, both lived at the same address.

According to The Jamaica Observer, the incident occurred on Saturday night as the couple travelled in a white Honda motor vehicle along Windward Road. Upon reaching a traffic light, the car stopped, and shortly after, gunshots sounded.

Concerned passers-by promptly alerted the police when the vehicle remained stationary. Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered Heather Moysten slumped in the driver’s seat with a gunshot wound to the left side of her head.

Tragically, she succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. Wesley Moysten, found in the left front passenger seat, was pronounced dead upon arrival at the medical facility. He also had a gunshot wound to the head.

A further search of the vehicle revealed a firearm with an 18-round 9mm magazine. The investigation into the motive and circumstances behind the shooting is ongoing.

Following the tragic news, followers flocked to The Jamaica Observer’s Instagram page with comments denouncing the senseless violence and expressing condolences for the grieving families.
